We encourage all children to learn at home when they can and in an appropriate way for their age and ability. We have provided the children with login details for the following educational websites to enhance their learning further.
Reading Eggs is split into Reading Eggs for KS1 and Reading Eggspress for KS2. Within these areas there are lots of opportunities for children to practise reading skills through games, books and lessons as well as being able to create their own Avatar in their virtual world. When your child completes a book and a comprehension quiz or a reading/spelling lesson, they will win Eggs allowing them to spend these on improving their Avatar or playing other games.
Within school your child has completed a placement test which has been designed to find the correct level for your child to start at, ensuring your child can access the reading, comprehension questions and games. Therefore when your child logs in at home they are ready to explore the different games, books and lessons. Your child’s log in details will be stuck in to your child’s Reading Record book for you to use at home.
